This morning Netcare 911 paramedics received a call for a drowning in a swimming pool in Pietermaritzburg. Reports from the scene indicate that a 16-month-old child had fallen into the pool, exact detail as to how it happened will remain a subject for police investigation.
Netcare 911 paramedics and the provincial serviced arrived at the scene and found that the child had been pulled from the water. Tragically the child was declared dead at the scene.
