The third episode from the hugely successful #EveryTerrain, Find Your Best campaign will be released in 13 days. ‘Find your Best’ is a six part series of showcase films that reflect the range of Mercedes-Benz SUV’s as the vehicle of choice for the varying Southern African journeys.
In episode three, renowned chef Marthinus Ferreira (from the restaurant dw eleven-13, which made the Top 20 nominees for the 2015 EatOut Mercedes-Benz Restaurant Awards), and Protea legend Mark Boucher, travel to a remote corner of the Eastern Cape’s Wild Coast in a Mercedes-AMG GLE 63. Faced with a unique challenge, which they must complete within 48 hours, the pair needs to work together to ‘find their best’.
The challenge for episode three is inspired by the natural splendour of the Wild Coast and the Xhosa people that the duo encounters and is also Mark Boucher’s home ground as he was born in East London. The challenge involves sourcing, foraging and catching all the ingredients for a one-of-a-kind three-course dinner.
“We are delighted with the impact the series is having on various audiences, actually showcasing what is available right here on our own country and further afar,” says Selvin Govender, Marketing Director, Mercedes-Benz Cars.
The varying diverse scenes in episode three offers a great sense of the inland landscape, the journey and the effort to obtain their much needed ingredients.
“The duo’s opportunity to interact with the locals and learn what delights the area offers, under the guidance of the local Xhosa guide, who explains how these indigenous elements are traditionally used through the ages, sets the scene for interesting interaction,” says Govender.
“The Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 is certainly the appropriate vehicle for the terrain our duo found themselves in, as it boasts the latest and most efficient drive technology, combined with superb ride comfort and the versatility and robustness typical of an SUV – the new GLE has all the attributes to continue its success story, wherever it finds itself,” concludes Govender.
