This afternoon Netcare 911 paramedics responded to the call for two trucks that collided on the P200 in Margate. Exact detail to the cause of the crash will remain a subject for the South African Police to Investigate.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and found that the trucks had left the roadway, their wreckages coming to rest several meters off the roadway into the bush. After triaging the injured it was found that one driver had sustained life-threatening injuries while the other one was in a serious condition.
Paramedics worked fervently at the scene to stabilise the wounded and after they immobilised them on trauma boards, they transported them to nearby hospitals for the care that they required.
