A vehicle from a cigarette company was delivering cigarettes to a spaza shop in the Moletji area, Limpopo when the employees were overpowered by four suspects at gunpoint, tied up and forced into the bushes. The suspects took their delivery vehicle and drove off stopping later to load the cigarettes into their own vehicle.
Members of the task team were alerted about the robbery and spotted the suspected vehicle. They followed the suspects and arrested all four of them, also recovering the stolen cigarettes to the estimated value of R200 000-00. The suspects are due to appear in the Seshego Magistrates’ Court on Thursday on a charge of armed robbery.
