Two people were killed and three others injured this morning following a shooting incident at a block of flats on Beach Road in Doonside, KwaZulu Natal.
ER24 paramedics were called to the scene by SAPS members, who were the first on scene.
When ER24 paramedics arrived on scene, they found that five people had been involved in the incident.
On assessment, paramedics discovered that a man and woman had sustained fatal injuries in the shooting. Unfortunately nothing more could be done for the patients and they were declared dead on scene.
Three other patients were found one scene, two of them critically injured.
Paramedics treated the patients and provided them with advanced life support interventions. Once treated, they were transported to nearby hospitals for urgent treatment.
The cause of the shooting is not yet known but local authorities are on scene for further investigations.
