One killed in peak hour collision in Thembisa

One person was killed in a collision involving two vehicles that occurred earlier this morning.

The collision occurred on the P91 in Thembisa in the east of Johannesburg. It is believed that it was a head on collision. ER24 paramedics responded to the scene and found that over and above the deceased patient, the driver of the other vehicle had sustained critical injuries.

ER24 treated the patient using advanced life support interventions and thereafter transported the patient to Thembisa Hospital for further treatment. The cause of the collision remains unknown, local authorities were on scene for further investigation.
