A 25-year-old man is in a critical condition after he was shot this afternoon on Albertus Road outside the Magistrates Court in Cape Town.
ER24 paramedics, along with Community Medics and life Healthcare, received the emergency call from the SAPS.
On arrival, paramedics found the man slumped up against a nearby stop sign.
Assessments showed that the man had sustained a gunshot wound to this thigh and was in a serious condition.
Paramedics treated the patient and provided him with advanced life support interventions. The patient was thereafter transported to New Somerset West Hospital for urgent treatment.
The cause of the incident is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
