This morning just after 06:30 EMER-G-MED’s RV6, M07, A06 and A11 responded to reports of a taxi that overturned on the N1 South after Rivonia in Paulshof, north of Johannesburg.
It’s alleged that the taxi overturned and ended up in the fast lane, after rear-ending a car in the slow lane – leaving five people from the car, and 16 passengers from the taxi injured.
The 21 patients were treated on-scene for minor to moderate injuries. Three of them required Advanced Life Support care.
EMER-G-MED along with other services then transported the patients to various nearby hospitals for further care.
Local authorities were on-scene to investigate the events leading up to the collision.
