On Monday afternoon Netcare 911 paramedics responded to an industrial accident at a mall in Botchabelo. Reports from the scene indicate that a contractor was standing next to a wall when a steel beam came loose and swung towards him.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and found that the beam crushed the man’s arm against the wall causing serious injuries. Medics stabilised the man at the scene before they transported him to a local hospital for the care that he required.
