Eleven people were injured this morning after a taxi rear-ended a truck on the N1 highway in Rivonia, Johannesburg.
ER24 paramedics, along with provincial services, arrived on scene to find both vehicles in the slow lane of the highway. Occupants from the taxi were found seated outside of the vehicle.
Paramedics assessed the patients and found that all eleven had sustained only minor injuries. Fortunately no serious or fatal injuries were reported on scene.
Paramedics treated the patients and thereafter transported them to Alexandra clinic for further treatment.
The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
