A man was injured this morning after his truck overturned on the Visserhoek Road outside of Durbanville in the Western Cape.
ER24 paramedics received the call and immediately responded to the scene.
On arrival, paramedics found a large truck lying on its side on the side of the road. The driver of the truck was found in the cab of the vehicle.
Rescue services had to remove the window to allow paramedics to gain access to the patient. On assessment, paramedics found that the patient had sustained moderate injuries.
The patient was treated for his injuries and was thereafter transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
The patient later told paramedics that he had lost consciousness just before his vehicle overturned.
Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
