On Tuesday morning at 11h23 Netcare 911 paramedics and their rescue unit received a call for a drowning on the Durban Beach front. Reports from the scene indicate that a man aged sixty-five was walking along the snake park pier when he had a seizure and fell into the ocean.
Lifeguards raced over to the man’s assistance, they found the patient to be unresponsive and swam him back to the beach. Paramedics arrived at the scene and found Lifeguards doing CPR. Tragically despite all the effort the man was declared dead at the beach
