On Sunday morning at 11h44 Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a shooting incident in the Alton North area of Richards Bay. Reports from the scene indicate that two men were cleaning the firearm when a shot went off accidentally.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and found a man in his thirties in a serious condition. Medics stabilised the patient at the scene before they transported him to a local hospital under the constant care of an advanced life support paramedic.
