Fourteen people have been injured after a taxi and a bakkie collided on the M1 Higginson Highway above the N2 Freeway just after 7am this morning.
Rescue Care Paramedics arrived on the scene to find that a bakkie and a taxi had collided on the onramp to the N2 North bound. Multiple patients were found to have sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. More ambulances were called to assist and once all of the injured had been stabilized on the scene they were transported to various Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required.
At this stage it is unclear what caused the collision however the necessary authorities were on scene and will be investigating further.
