At 00h34 on Monday morning Netcare 911 received a call for a shooting incident in Mamelodi. Exact detail to the cause of the shooting and preceding events is still speculative and will form part of the South African Police investigation. Reports from the scene however indicate that after the 34-year-old-man was shot , someone had rushed him to the Mamelodi Day Hospital.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and found the man to be in a critical condition with multiple wounds. The Netcare Helicopter was called to the scene and after medics stabilised the critically wounded man they airlifted him to a specialised hospital for the care that he required.
