One person was killed and five others left injured after a collision occurred on the N3 just before the Pavilion off ramp in Kwa-Zulu Natal.
The collision involved only one vehicle, a bakkie. It is believed that the bakkie had six occupants in total. All of the occupants were males between the ages of 20 and 40. The bakkie allegedly hit a barrier on the side of the road which led it to roll several times.
Over and above the fatal injuries, all the other injuries ranged from minor to moderate. ER24 treated and transported three patients to King Edward Hospital for further treatment. The remaining patients were treated and transported by the medical services scene.
The cause if the incident is still unknown, local authorities were on scene for further investigation.
