Woman falls from two storey building in Margate

On Saturday afternoon at 16h02 Netcare 911 paramedics were called to Marine Drive in Margate for a female that fell from a two-story building. Exact detail to the cause of the incident and preceding events will remain a subject for police investigation.

Paramedics and the fire services arrived and found the woman lying on the grass behind an electric fence with no access route. One of the Netcare 911 paramedics places fire jackets over the fence and managed to clamber over the fence to get to the injured female.

After the seriously injured patient was treated , they immobilised her in a “Stokes” basket and then had to hoist her back up into the residence with the assistance of the Margate fire services. The patient was then carried down the stairs and placed in the ambulance before they transported her to a hospital in Port Shepstone, under the constant care of a Netcare 911 advanced life support paramedic.
