A man was killed this morning after his scooter collided with a payloader on Springfield Road in Hanover Park in Cape Town in the Western Cape.
ER24 paramedics arrive on the scene and found that a scooter and its driver lay on the side of the road while the payloader was parked in the middle of the road.
Paramedics assessed the driver of the scooter and found that he had sustained multiple fatal injuries. Unfortunately, nothing more could be done for the patient and he was declared dead on scene.
Another male patient was found on scene with moderate injuries. The patient was treated and transported by Metro services to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
While on scene, paramedics were approached by three members of public, including the payloader driver, who requested to be assessed after witnessing the incident.
The patients were assessed and thereafter transported to Gatesville Melomed for further treatment.
Local authorities were on scene for further assessment.
