15 Injured as two taxis collide in ILembe District in KZN

Fifteen people have been treated for injuries sustained during a collision between two minibus taxis on the R102 in the Ntshaweni area, in ILembe District, this morning.

Paramedics from the KZN Department of Health’s Emergency Medical Services and a local private ambulance service responded to the scene and treated the patients. Five had sustained serious injuries, while the remaining patients had all sustained minor injuries.

The patients were stabilised at the scene before being transported to several health institutions in the area for continued medical care.

The exact cause of the crash is not known at this stage and will be investigated by the police.
