A man was safely brought down from a building in Sir Lowry Road, in Cape Town, after he fell from one part of the building to another earlier today.
It is understood that the man believed to be in his 60’s was working on a roof that was adjacent to the part of the building that he fell on. ER24 and Life Healthcare paramedics arrived on scene and found that the man had fallen equivalent to three storeys down.
Paramedics gained access to the man by taking an elevator up, going up service stairs and climbing through a window onto the part of the roof that the man was on.
Upon assessment of the man it was found that he sustained moderate injuries. He was treated and brought down in a Bronto Skylight by Cape Town Fire and Rescue in the company of paramedics.
The man was transported to hospital for further medical care. The exact cause of the incident is unknown.
Authorities were on scene for further investigations.
