A two-year-old-girl is in a serious condition after suffering second degree burns to her body after a pot of boiling water spilled on her at her home in Cullinan.
Netcare911 paramedics were called to a local clinic in the area where the child was taken, upon arrival, we found the child to be in a serious condition.
A Netcare911 Emergency Care Practitioner managed to stabilise the child on scene before transporting her to a nearby hospital in Pretoria for further medical care.
This incident happened this afternoon at about 15h00.
Netcare911 would like to advise all parents and child minders to always keep a close watch on children when they are around water – whether the water is in a bathtub, a wading pool, a fish pond, a swimming pool, or in a pot on a stove.
