Seven school children injured in early morning collision in Chesterville

Eight people including seven school children have been injured after a T Bone collision on Booth Road in Chesterville just after 6am this morning.

Rescue Care Paramedics arrived on the scene to find that two vehicles collided in a T Bone format. One of the vehicles was transporting school kids to school when the incident happened. One of the children had sustained moderate injuries and was stabilised on the scene by Advanced Life Support Paramedics. Once all of the injured had been stabilised on the scene they were transported to various Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required.

At this stage it is unclear what caused the collision however the necessary authorities were on scene and will be investigating further.
