It is believed that at least 10 people were injured this afternoon when a taxi overturned on the South Coast Road in Durban South, KwaZulu Natal.
ER24 paramedics, along with a multitude of other services, arrived on the scene and found the mangled taxi lying on its side in the centre lane of the busy road.
Afternoon traffic had already begun to back up due to the collision.
On assessment, paramedics discovered that at least 10 people had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious or fatal injuries were reported on the scene.
The patients were treated for their injuries and thereafter transported to various hospital in the vicinity for further treatment.
The exact number of patients is unknown as some left the scene prior to the arrival of paramedics.
Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
