Three people were injured this morning, including two children, when a fire broke out at their residence in Dobsonville.
Paramedics from the ER24 Johannesburg South branch arrived on the scene, they found the small house well alight. Three woman were found seated outside of their residence on the road.
On assessment, paramedics discovered that two girls, aged 5 and 14, as well as a 86-year-old woman had all sustained minor burn wounds as well as smoke inhalation.
Paramedics treated the patients for their injuries and thereafter transported them to Jabulani Hospital for further treatment.
It is understood that the fire was cause by a heater that was left on for some time.
Fire services were on scene to extinguish the blaze.
