Approximately 20 people were injured this morning when two taxis collided on the R550/Dan Pienaar Road in Grasmere.
ER24 Vaal and South crews as well as various other services attended to the incident.
Upon arrival at the scene, paramedics found several people scattered on the road and embankment as well as walking around.
It is understood that some of the patients had been ejected from the vehicles. Upon assessment of the patients it was found that a woman believed to be in her 30’s sustained critical injuries. All other patients sustained minor to moderate injuries. They were treated and transported by the various services to local hospitals for further medical care.
The exact cause of the collision is unknown.
Authorities were on scene for further investigations.
