A woman has died and three people have been injured after a light motor vehicle collided with a high mass vehicle on the N3 South near the M40 in Pietermaritzburg.
After triaging the patients on scene, it was found that one woman who was ejected out of the light motor vehicle had already died due to the extensive injuries she sustained.
She was declared dead on scene.
Paramedics also found that three people had sustained moderate to minor injuries.
Netcare911 paramedics worked alongside other services on scene to stabilise the injured.
All injured were transported to various hospitals in the area for further medical care.
This accident happened during the early hours of Saturday morning at about 01h00.
