11 people were injured this morning after a taxi rear-ended a light motor vehicle on the M3 in Claremont in the Western Cape.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene shortly after 07h30 and found that both the taxi and light motor vehicle had already pulled over and stopped at the petrol station.
ER24 paramedics and Metro services began to triage the patients, finding that 11 of the 17 occupants from the taxi had been injured. Fortunately, the injuries sustained ranged from minor to moderate.
Paramedics treated the patients and thereafter transported them to a nearby provincial hospital for further treatment.
