At 03h51 on Sunday morning Netcare paramedics responded to a collision along the Rooiwal Road near the Power station. Reports from the scene indicate that a vehicle was parked at the side of the road while the driver was changing a flat tyre, a vehicle hurling down the roadway from the opposite direction then collided head-on with him.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and found that a man in his twenties tragically died before their arrival while two others sustained serious injuries. The injured were treated at the scene before medics transported them to hospital for further medical attention.
