This morning Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a shooting incident on the N2 five kilometres before Izingolweni on the Natal south coast. Exact detail to the cause of the shooting and preceding events is still speculative and will form part of the South African Police investigation.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and found that one man tragically died at the scene due to the extensive injuries that he sustained. Another man was found to have sustained life-threatening injuries while another person was in shock.
Paramedics treated the injured at the scene before they transported them to a hospital in the Margate area for the care that he required.
