Western Cape: During the early hours of this morning, an intelligence driven operation by members of the Winelands Cluster Crime Prevention Unit resulted in the arrest of two suspects, aged 27 and 29 years, for illegal possession of an AK47 assault rifle with ammunition in Mbekweni.
The execution of the search warrant also led to the seizure of a credit card cloning devices, a zip gun, a laptop computer and a police issue raincoat and reflector jacket.
Once charged, the suspects are due to make a court appearance in Paarl on the charges against them.
