Two people have sustained minor injuries and one has been left in a critical condition after a fire broke their residential building in Hermitage Road in Durban CBD just before 6pm on Saturday evening.
Rescue Care Paramedics and Durban Fire Department received the call for medical assistance at a building on fire. On arrival Paramedics found that two people had sustained minor injuries and one person was in a critical condition and needed Advanced Life Support intervention as a result of the fire. They were all treated and stabilised on scene before being transported by ambulance to hospital by for the further care that they required.
At this stage the exact cause of the fire is unknown however the Durban Fire Department and SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
