This afternoon Netcare 911 paramedics responded to an industrial accident in the Molweni area near Pinetown in KZN. Reports indicate that the man was working about three and a half meters above ground level when he fell to the ground. Paramedics arrived at the scene and found the man had been moved to a local clinic by community members. The Netcare 911 rescue unit , the advanced life support paramedic and ambulance crew went to the clinic and found the man to have sustained life-threatening injuries. Paramedics worked fervently at the scene to stabilise the forty-six-year-old- man. After the advanced life support paramedics placed the man on a ventilator, they deftly immobilised him on a trauma board before transporting him to a specialised hospital in Durban for the care that he required. |
