A taxi driver sustained critical injuries and 10 others sustained minor to moderate injuries at Beyers Naude and John Adamson Drive in the Randburg area earlier this morning.
ER24 as well as other services arrived on scene and found that the taxi had crashed into a light pole.
The driver, about 30 years of age, was trapped. He was extricated by Fire and Rescue as well as ER24.
He as well as all other patients were treated and transported to local hospitals for further medical care.
The exact cause of the incident is unknown.
Authorities were on scene for further investigations.
