A woman believed to be 24 years of age was knocked over by an SUV in Stateway, Welkom, earlier today.
ER24 paramedics arrived on scene and found the woman seated on the road. Upon assessment of the patient it was found that she sustained multiple injuries and was in a serious condition.
She was treated and transported to hospital for further medical care.
The occupants of the vehicle were uninjured.
The exact cause of the incident is unknown.
Authorities were on scene for further investigations.
