Eight people were injured this morning after a taxi crashed into a roadside barrier on the N3 southbound highway near the Richmond Road in Marrianhill, KwaZulu-Natal.
Er24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene and found the taxi facing oncoming traffic in the left lane of the highway.
The occupants had already climbed out of the vehicle and were found walking around on the scene.
On assessment, paramedics found that eight people had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious or fatal injuries were reported on the scene.
ER24 paramedics treated the patients and transported all eight to Rk Khan Hospital for further treatment.
It is understood that the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to crash into the barriers.
Local authorities will be investigating further.
