Yesterday afternoon EMER-G-MED’s RV6, M03, A02 and A03 as well as Netcare911 responded to reports of a serious collision on the R114 in Muldersdrift.
It’s alleged that a bakkie swerved to avoid a vehicle that cut in front of it, the driver lost control and collided head-on with a second car.
A total of six people were injured in the crash. One person sustained critical injuries and required Advanced Life Support care – once stabilised the patient was transported by Netcare911 to a specialist hospital for further care.
The five others sustained minor to moderate injuries. They were also treated at the scene before being transported to various nearby hospitals by EMER-G-MED and other services.
Local traffic authorities were on the scene to investigate the events surrounding the collision.
