Two women sustained serious to moderate injuries when a truck struck them on Whartski drive in Margate.
The exact detail to the cause of the accident will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
Netcare911 paramedics worked alongside paramedics from the KZN Provincial EMS on scene.
One woman was found to be in a critical condition, she was stabilised on scene thereafter transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care by Netcare911 paramedics.
The other woman sustained moderate injuries, she was also stabilised on scene and transported to hospital by paramedics from Kwa-Zulu Natal Provincial EMS.
This accident happened this afternoon at about 17h00.
