Just before 1pm yesterday afternoon EMER-G-MED’s RV6 and M06, as well as Netcare911 and various other services, responded to reports of a shooting outside a restaurant on Hobart Road, in Bryanston.
On arrival paramedics found that two people had been injured after an armed robbery. One patient sustained a single gunshot wound to the chest, paramedics immediately began CPR and performed a full Advanced Life Support resuscitation – unfortunately, despite prolonged resuscitation attempts, the man was later declared dead on the scene.
The second patient was stabbed in the arm and was in a stable condition. at the scene before she was transported to a nearby hospital for further care.
It’s believed that the suspects were successfully arrested by the South African Police Services, who were at the scene to conduct a full investigation.
