An 82-year-old man was left critically injured this morning after he fell off a roof at his residence on Lisbon Street in Robertson, South of Johannesburg.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the wife who was standing next to her husband.
Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained a serious injury to his head and neck, leaving him in a critical condition.
Paramedics immediately began their treatment and provided the man with advanced life support interventions.
Once treated, the man was transported to a private hospital for urgent treatment.
It is understood that the man had been working on the roof when he apparently lost his footing.
