At 17h55 on Tuesday afternoon Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a drowning at Dekota beach in Isipingo KZN. Reports from the scene indicate that a man in his forties had gone for a swim in the river mouth when he disappeared under the water.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and found that the Life Guards had started with CPR. Tragically, despite all their effort the man was declared dead at the scene. This brings our total of drowning’s to three in KZN since the start of the holiday season.
