On Sunday afternoon just after 17h00 Netcare 911 paramedics responded to Dekota beach in Isipingo, KZN. Reports from the scene indicate that the child disappeared under the water in the swimming pool. Quick action from the Lifeguards ensured that they pulled the child out of the water very quickly and so prevented a tragic situation.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and found the child to display near drowning symptoms. The boy was treated at the scene before medics transported him to a nearby hospital for the care that he required.
