KwaZulu-Natal: Durban Search and Rescue followed up on several pleas on Social media to assist with the recovery of a canine that had fallen down a 3m manhole along the N3 freeway near the Pavilion shopping center on the centre median. The remains were removed.
Although not a primary function of the SAPS, it was conducted to bring closure in the safest possible way to avoid any traffic disruption or danger to inexperienced members of the public who may have intervened on their own volition.
