KwaZulu-Natal: Earlier last night, members from Port Shepstone SAPS Search and Rescue together with Medevac, Umdoni Fire Rescue and IMART, recovered the body of a 6-year-old boy when he fell down a 7-meter reservoir.
Community members heard a child’s cries and reported the matter to the SAPS. Members immediately sprung into action and worked tirelessly for hours, battling extremely confined spaces, water and hazardous gases. Unfortunately, the boy did not survive despite everyone’s best efforts.
