A 38-year-old woman was left seriously injured this morning after a shooting incident at a clinic in Taylors Halt in KwaZulu-Natal.
ER24 paramedics arrived at a clinic and found the woman being treated by clinic staff.
Assessments showed that the woman had sustained a gunshot wound to her chest and was in a serious condition.
ER24 paramedics immediately treated the woman and provided her with advanced life support interventions.
Once treated, the woman was transported to Mediclinic Pietermaritzburg for urgent treatment.
The cause of the incident is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
