The Free State MEC for Health, Butana Komphela has urged the people of the Free State and any other person who find themselves within the borders of the province to take note and heed the messages towards prevention of Malaria.
25 April is World Malaria Day and it seeks to raise awareness about malaria, the serious and sometimes fatal disease that plagues most tropical regions. Malaria is transmitted through the bite of an infected Anopheles mosquito, found in most tropical regions of the world.
World Malaria Day was proclaimed by the World Health Organization. It is celebrated annually on April 25. Tune in to Lesedi FM with Tholoana “Thuli Baby” Moletsane as she discusses with our Dikeledi Baleni on Wednesday, 26 April 2017 to hear more on what can be done to prevent and end malaria.
