A newborn baby boy was found this morning, wrapped in a plastic bag, on Joe Slovo Drive in Berea, Johannesburg.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the Provincial services already on attendance.
Paramedics assessed the child, who was found wrapped in a plastic bag, and found that he was in a critical condition.
Paramedics treated the patient and provided him with advanced life support interventions.
Once treated, the boy was transported to Johannesburg General Hospital for urgent treatment.
The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
