At approximately 13:00 on Thursday authorities were alerted to a business robbery which had occurred at a cellular phone store in Verulam, north of Durban.
Four suspects stormed the cellphone dealership brandishing pistols, holding up the staff, stealing a lot of cellular phones, before making off in an unknown direction.
The stolen items were fitted with a tracking device and the Marshall Security Special Operations Team were activated to assist.
A signal was found in the Ntuzuma area and after an extensive tracking period, discarded cellphone boxes were found in a shack in the Emachobeni rural area.
An extensive search of the property revealed a kit-bag hidden inside a refrigerator, containing eighteen smart-phones.
The scene was secured and handed over to the South African Police Services for further investigation and processing.
The suspects remain at large.
