On Tuesday at approximately 17:40 members of Reaction Unit South Africa were dispatched to Cottonwood Road in Trenance Park – Verulam after receiving reports of a building on fire.
Upon arrival, a storage shed built out of metal sheeting and wood was found completely engulfed in flames. With the use of a garden hose a resident from the home doused the fire to prevent it from spreading to the main building.
The Ethekwini Fire and Emergency Services arrived on scene and extinguished the blaze. The shed and its contents which consisted of clothing, garden tools and cooking utensils were completely destroyed in the fire.
Circumstances surrounding the blaze has not been established at this stage.
