A 62-year-old man sustained serious injuries after a bakkie and a truck collided on the R102 in George this afternoon.
When ER24 arrived on scene, they found the driver of the bakkie lying next to his vehicle. It is believed that the man was ejected from the vehicle. Upon further assessment, they found the man in a serious condition. ER24 transported the man to Mediclinic George.
The driver of the truck sustained no injuries but was transported by another medical service to Mediclinic George for further medical assessment.
The exact circumstances around the incident is not yet known to our paramedics, but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
