At approximately 07:44 this morning members of Reaction Unit South Africa were dispatched to New Glasgow in Verulam after receiving reports of a suicide.
Upon arrival RUSA Members proceeded several meters down an embankment and found the body of an 18 year old Indian male hanging by a rope from a mango tree. Medics assessed the teenager and pronounced him dead on arrival.
It is alleged that the deceased had left his home during the course of last night. A member of his family went in search of him this morning and found the boy hanging a few metres away from his home.
Circumstances surrounding the incident has yet to be established.
